Sophie Alderslade

Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2019. She worked in a busy and diverse private practice in Adelaide, treating a variety of clients and conditions.

It’s during this time where she developed a true passion for Women’s Health, helping care for a number of expecting mothers throughout their pregnancy journeys. Alongside her passion in Women’s Health, she holds a keen interest in clinical reformer pilates and treating those with neck/upper back pain, knee and ankle injuries and sports rehabilitation.

Sophie’s approach is to help individuals find comfort but also extends beyond this to educate, empower and help patients to sustain long-lasting outcomes. She advocates that everyone is unique and that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach. This drives her to work in collaboration with her patients to create effective management plans tailored to their presentation, needs and goals to get individuals back to doing what they love. Whatever the presentation, Sophie’s passion to help achieve patients’ goals makes her an integral member of the Vital Core team.

Sophie is extremely bubbly with a warm, empathetic, yet motivating personality. She grew up in the Barossa Valley so you can bet she loves her wines, especially a white. She was very active growing up playing a variety of competitive sports, predominantly basketball and netball and is what sparked her interest in pursuing a career in Physiotherapy. She worked as a part-time Barista throughout her university studies so is always seeking out the best coffee in town. Outside the clinic, Sophie can’t sit still and loves to spend her time keeping active, listening to Triple J and having a laugh with friends/family.
