Tory has particular interests in women’s health physiotherapy – pelvic floor rehabilitation, management of pelvic pain and incontinence in men, women and children, management of pregnancy related pain, and pregnancy and post natal concerns.

She has decades of experience in manual therapies and sports physiotherapy since her time as an athlete at the SA Sports Institute and the Australian Institute of Sport in the early 1990’s.

Tory has worked with runners, rowers, basketballers, netballers and cyclists as well as many recreational athletes. She is passionate about helping people return to doing the things they love.

Tory utilises manual therapies, acupuncture, exercise and other modalities as required to achieve the treatment goals as determined with her patient.

Tory is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association,

Women’s Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Australia (SA Chair and National Committee representative 2015 – 2018), Continence Foundation of Australia, the International Urogynecological Association, the International Continence Society, the International Menopause Society, the Urogynaecological Society of Australia, the Australian Menopause Society, Society of Australian Sexologists, Sports Physiotherapy Australia, and Sports Medicine Australia (past Branch council member).

She has extensive post graduate qualifications in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy including the award of ‘Titled member’ from the Australian Physiotherapy Association and a Professional Certificate in Prolapse management and use of Pessaries from the UniSA, in Sports Physiotherapy, in acupuncture and dry needling, adolescent growth and health and in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

She lectures and tutors regularly for the University of South Australia post graduates, Sports Medicine Australia and the Continence Foundation of Australia (Pelvic Floor First), as well as for the Women’s Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy group of the APA in SA and Victoria, and is a clinical teaching specialist at Flinders University.

Tory provided physio services to the SA Sports Institute Baseball Program 2001 – 2011, and SASI netball 2004 -5. She was a member of the Australian rowing team 1991 – 1996, including the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 and was World Champion in 1992. She has been a board member of the South Australian Road Runners Club, Sports Medicine Australia (SA branch), the Australian Red Cross Donor Advisory Committee, and is Treasurer for the Olympians Club of SA.

She has coached the Queens Cup SA state rowing crew to the National Championships, and competed in surf boat rowing as well as Masters rowing.

She is an Ambassador to the Jodi Lee Foundation, having fund-raised almost $20 000 by completing a marathon on each of the seven continents from 2011- 2019!

Tory competes regularly in local and international running events from 5km to ultra marathons, road and trail, and expects to finish midfield in most of them.
