Kelly is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a passion for approaching each person and problem holistically. She has experience in treating a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, including general pain and postural problems, as well as sporting injuries and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She provides and combines ‘hands on’ and active management therapies.
Kelly’s favourite exercise therapy is Pilates informed exercise and she runs a large number of our mat and equipment classes. She is affectionately known as Vital Core’s in-house Pilates mentor as she helps the physio team understand this method of exercise more accurately and precisely.
With a focus on integrating the body and mind, Kelly loves to combine traditional Pilates principals and modern physiotherapy practices to rehabilitate injuries in individuals especially those with long standing issues.
Kelly’s background is in dance and she also runs En Pointe Physiotherapy out of our rooms; a physiotherapy service specifically for dancers and performing artists.
As well as her beautiful and gentle personality, experience and skill Kelly has training in a number of other highly regarded physiotherapy techniques including the McKenzie method and is an Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) practitioner in dry needling.
She is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APAM) and its national Sports & Exercise Group, as well as the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS), and does her best to stay up to date with current evidence and best practice concepts.
